Before you bring it to lessons
- Charge it fully before school. Classroom charging points are limited.
- Bring your charger and stylus if your lessons need them.
- Restart it regularly so updates can finish properly.
- Save school work in OneDrive or another school-approved cloud location.
What is different about a managed laptop?
The school can apply security, safeguarding, filtering and learning settings. This also means some settings are restricted and students do not have administrator access.
Good habit: if something odd happens, restart first, then check the relevant guide. A restart fixes more problems than it has any right to.
