How to recover a deleted OneDrive or Google Drive file

If a file was saved in OneDrive or Google Drive, there is often a way to recover it.

OneDrive

  1. Open OneDrive in your browser or File Explorer.
  2. Check the Recycle Bin if the file was deleted.
  3. For a changed file, open version history if available.

Google Drive

  1. Open Google Drive.
  2. Check Trash for deleted files.
  3. For Google Docs, Sheets or Slides, use version history to look for an earlier version.

If you cannot find it, speak to your form tutor as soon as possible. File recovery is usually easier if you ask quickly.
