If your laptop will not turn on or charge, try the simple checks first.
Power checks
- Check the charger is plugged into the wall and the laptop.
- Try a different wall socket if one is available.
- Look for a charging light on the laptop or charger.
- Hold the power button for about 10 seconds, then press it once normally.
- Leave it charging for a few minutes before trying again.
Ask for help if
- The charger or cable looks damaged.
- The laptop gets unusually hot.
- It still will not turn on after charging.
